Available topics for a Ph.D. thesis:
Tumor development, microenvironment and microcirculation modeling.
Radiation therapy and nuclear medicine therapy simulation.
Positron emission tomography (PET), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and Phase contrast imaging modeling.
Medical image and microscopic image analysis: reconstruction, visualization, registration, segmentation and clustering.
Machine learning for medical images and medical information retrieval.
Scintillation material simulation.
Candidates are expected to have
Rich experience in programming with C++, Matlab or related languages.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
A good command of English. Knowledge of German will be optimal.

Computational fluid dynamics
Biomedical engineering
